YOU are MISSING the point. The fact that no human function will be compromised by driving 55 MPH is a DENSE statement--because there is no speed at which human function will be compromised in any way that would contribute to the reconciling of the disagreement you were having with another poster. The fact that one is free to drive 55 MPH if one wants to is hardly something that needs explication, and surely was not your intent...unless you are an idiot.
