Decimation was the Roman practice of punishing 1 out of 10 soldiers for "poor performance".
What you just said is that 9 out of 10 stocks are still standing. Is that what you mean ?

P.S. I like the mixed metaphor, though: "squeezing blood" is quite appropriate for a "decimated" stock "in the red".
