You have to look outside the SP500 for the real value plays - the tiny, unloved, unknown small caps that are turning in good cash flow despite the slowdown.

The experts rarely mention those because their funds are too big to buy them and trade them effectively. And they don't want J6P figuring out how to play the game on his own without their tutelage and management fees.

Is that true about S & P historical values??

I question it only because it seems to me that P/E's would be higher towards end of bears as earnings slow

Plenty of stocks with teensy PE's now. Also beware likely interim rate cut and capital gains tax cut coming soon. Any time. Bush, Dems and Greenspan all know they have to do something positive quick. So they will.
