"They are limiting a company from developing a product which will enhance sales of intel products."

I'm still not sure Intel isn't just putting up a good front, as a DDR based P4 system is their best chance at selling better performing systems. Unless Intel has their DDR chipset in the wings, and they truly are trying to exclude Via. I'm always interested in good conspiracy theories. At this point, violating their agreement with Rambus would be minor as the 4 million shares of Rambus that Intel was/is going to receive aren't worth a lot, at least compared to what they've lost as a result of the agreement.

Kash, Re: "finally, what intel is doing is pretty dumb. They are limiting a company from developing a product which will enhance sales of intel products."

So maybe Intel should just give them and everybody else a license for free. Sounds like a great business decision. Intel is the only company whose IP means nothing, eh? (well, maybe Rambus, too).
