Why don't you ask the French when they are going to do there next nuclear test and be there? Maybe that'll do it.

I was in a big quake in California... I think it was in 89. I was at a business conference, staying in a Marriott in Irvine. I was having breakfast in the coffee shop. The waitress put my coffee on the table and suddenly it started sloshing over the side of the cup. I noticed that the waiters and waitresses were getting under tables and running to the doorways. Doh! I took the elevator up to the 8th floor to my room (didn't know that was a no-no). I wanted to call my boss back in Texas and tell him about the big event. He didn't believe me. I was sitting on the bed while talking to him... suddenly a very large TV on a credenza across the room just slid the length of the credenza and fell on the floor! My boss believed me after I told him about that!

After the conference I went to L.A. to visit a former art student of mine who was the set director for a TV show, "Who's the Sheriff." I got to go to the cast party and meet Suzanne Summers, etc. LOL!

Then my former student took me on a long drive out of the city where she and her husband lived in a big house on the San Andreas fault line. That night I was asleep in the guest room upstairs when I was suddenly awakened and one of my legs was hanging off the bed. MORE AFTERSHOCKS!

The next morning she took me to the Burbank airport. When the plane left the ground the pilot asked us how we felt about getting off the ground. The entire plane full of people cheered and screamed in the affirmative!
