Another acquisition:

I am trying to make money on this trend. So far I have hit with Berkley and Anderson, but am holding BR, AOG, PEL.TO, an possibly even APC itself. Plus some other , even smaller, outfits that I won't mention. I have even heard Talisman mentioned. (I hold it). I thought about buying LD but didn't, alas, and I wasn't holding Mitchell. I am not sure how much loose cash there is, but a lot of money was made on gas last year and that's what the companies holding that money understand. I would not be surprised to see an offer for BR at any time for about $46-48, though I would hope for more. Would not be surprised to see no offer either.

What's your take? Once mergers and acquisitions become fashionable in any area, they seem to persist for a while.
