'Journal of Longevity'

A. Glenn Braswell, a California businessman who won an 11th-hour Clinton pardon for a 1983 fraud conviction, has been subpoenaed to appear today before the Senate Special Committee on Aging, which wants to question him about allegations that he is selling dietary supplements that fail to deliver the miracle results advertised. The Associated Press reports:

Michael O'Neil, Braswell's former chief financial officer, submitted testimony to the committee alleging that Braswell's products are "flawed and laden with lies and deception." He said the items "could not possibly deliver what is promised in the advertising." . . .

"The primary vehicle for the sale of products is a 50-page advertisement that is published monthly as the "Journal of Longevity," O'Neil said.
