Very apt description, methinks, since I believe that the current unpleasantness has more to do with attitude, expectations, disappointment, confusion, etc., i.e., emotional intangibles, than it does with real economic problems. To be sure, if lack of confidence causes spending to decline, then this produces very real reductions in revenues with all the consequence fall out, but in many of the historical cases there was a surrounding economic context which had to change before a turnaround was possible, whereas here I think all that would be required is a short application of the right mood altering drug.
