When the thread discussed this before, I advocated marriage training so this seemed like a pretty good idea. This editorial is reacting to things that don't seem problematic to me. Of course, I haven't seen the materials of the training or spoken with the instructors. Had I seen them and gotten an overly religious message, I might have agreed with the editorial. Hard to say. The only thing I found objectionable is that it's not available to couples who aren't committed to marriage, although I suppose they could just say they were and then change their minds. I'd like to see some programs like this implemented as pilots to see what the results might be.
