When the thread discussed this before, I advocated marriage training so this seemed like a pretty good idea. This editorial is reacting to things that don't seem problematic to me. Of course, I haven't seen the materials of the training or spoken with the instructors. Had I seen them and gotten an overly religious message, I might have agreed with the editorial. Hard to say. The only thing I found objectionable is that it's not available to couples who aren't committed to marriage, although I suppose they could just say they were and then change their minds. I'd like to see some programs like this implemented as pilots to see what the results might be. Karen
