You know, there's a story about them there aluminium ladders that litter the Khumbu Ice Fall. Legend has it an attorney from Seattle by the name of Jim Frush got the idea to be the first into the ice fall and to set up the ladders. Then, as the story goes, all the other climbing parties who came through had to pay tribute for the use of the ladders up, over and around the icefall.

Just like a lawyer, eh?
