"Some other names to consider include Openwave (OPWV), Checkpoint (CHKP), EMC (EMC), Nokia (NOK), Sun Micro (SUNW), Siebel Systems (SEBL) and Veritas (VRTS). "

Wow that guy is a genius, he's uncovered some real sleeper stocks there. Wonder how he does his research to find those kind of undiscovered stocks for the future?

Scott-- This guy sharing the smoke of the other? LOL! No one wants to be a bull more than me but this is a very sick economy and there is no evidence of earnings improving in the near future. Greensperm was not happy bursting the bubble as needed but had to sink the world economy (not that Japan needed help). Earnings are not going to improve soon enough. The mkt has been crap for 18 months and unless EPS turn in the next 2 qtrs (highly unlikely) look for more of the same. For nearly a year I had hope for Q2 of '02 but sincerly doubt it will be that soon. More rates cuts are coming (probably 3/4%) yet but no one has the balls to borrow. What company needs more capacity? More space? More employees? More DEBT? How many unemployed want to extend their credit cards? Soon the banks and card companies will be writing off some of those charges and new mortgages no matter what the rate. How many unemployed are going to buy a new house, car or any thing else besides groceries? The NAS probably will make a new low on Q3 warnings, earnings, and forcasts. The DOW probably will not hold 9K. It may take a 1400 - 1500 NAS and 7500 DOW to wash out the shit so the turn can begin. Sadly all those holding from lofty levels will be gone, broke and too damn afraid to go back in the mkts. Look for one hell of a long time for any recovery to show. LOL! And I'm a perma-bull as the mkts will continue to find new highs as it always has--- it will just take years to see what a month brought a short time ago. JMBS-- but makes the most sense to me!
