Yea, my girlfriend's son has a pair of those. In talking with her, she (and I don't know if this analysis is correct, but there is some validity to it) doesn't think those are the big problem. Rather, she says that if a lot of middle management types are being laid off, why should they buy Timberlands not to go to work, especially with the winter (one would think the big selling season) approaching?
