I think that the impact of the terrorist attack will be terrible for the stock market and the economy.

The shock of the attack will definitely take its toll on consumer confidence. Fifty thousand people worked at the World Trade Center and it normally has ten thousand visitors a day . The toll will most likely exceed that at Pearl Harbor ! A massive tragedy for the country !

The markets will not like the uncertainty and is likely to take a major hit. Things do not look good.

Now the political leadership has to step to the plate, and do what FDR did to restore confidence. Bush will be measured in history by how he leads the nation at this critical hour.
