This is terribly sad. I can't even imagine how many people were already at work at the Trade Centers, including both friends and family of mine, and I'm sure many of you as well. Whether the market is closed or not, I can't imagine I will watch, nor should anyone's thoughts be consumed with it at a time like this. That video of the plane hitting the building is just unspeakable, an image that, like the Challenger, will be one we see until we become sadly inured to it. I agree with Allan that I hope any response to what appears to be a deliberate act is measured, strong, and in keeping with American ideals, now more so than ever. the freep
