These terrorists will only make whatever people they represent hated and despised.
Not by their supporters. The IRA's maintained popularity and funding despite bombing Memorial Day services. IMO whichever group can credibly claim this vileness will probably gain recruits... after all, if you're going to die at the proxy of your oppressor, why not fight back and go in a blaze of glory? <sarcastic rictus>

Meanwhile, I'm hoping the US doesn't retaliate, e.g., by launching missiles against Sudan, or Afghanistan - that'll only breed more enemies and 'prove' to these murderers that they were right...

And no doubt the Israelis will see this as evidence that the only thing that works is brute force and violence.

Actually I'm hoping that the opposite lesson is learnt... but I think the terrorists at least will take it as proof of their effectiveness.
And who can we strike back against? and how? Without making things worse??
