I can't believe the Palestinians have the resources to pull this stunt off. They're the obvious suspects... but I tend to agree. They've not shown this level of organisation for a very long time, nor this style of acting. And I'd have thought Israel would still be their primary target. The US might do for what terrorists cheerfully call a 'spectacular', but a series of such? Bin Laden? He's possibly got the pull, but I've never heard of his organisation - in the US - being at this level. Besides, he's been relatively quiet recently and what would he have at this point? ?? It took a lot less to start two world wars. Well, not quite. Actually it took Germany to launch the armoured invasions of Belgium and Poland respectively, followed by full declarations of war by one country on another... although (gulp) in terms of lives lost and cost of damage done this might be comparable to Pearl Harbour...
