I trust the President will respond appropriately, and I support him fully in that response.

The problem is that Afghanistan is ALREADY basically 'razed to the ground'. Other than blowing up some camps, what more can be done? In my opinion it's pretty difficult to stop people willing to 'die for the cause'. Until the Israeli/Palestinian problem is resolved, unfortunately I think we have not seen the end of these types of incidents.

Regards,
John

Now is the time for prayer and reflection for those who have lost their lives in this tragedy. May God have mercy on them and their loved ones.

Next, a strong military (not police) response is required. This evil must be eliminated.

<<THIS is what happens when you let a person like Clinton be President. He didnt have the guts and thus nations feel they can attack the USA with impunity>>

... that's just what we need John - your radical and simplistic thoughts ... NOT

... not to mention your compassionate republican conservatism and your religious rightness ... <G>

... you are right though, we are about to see of what substance dubya is made ... "God Save the Queen"

... with love as always,

<<THIS is what happens when you let a person like Clinton be President.>>

Actually this is what happens when you let Bush be president, or have you forgotten who our president is? Do you know who the president was when Sadaam Hussein thought he could get away with invading Kuwait? Do you know who was president in 1983 when Hezbollah thought it would be okay to kill 241 marines in Lebanon?

What a classless and cowardly act your partisanship has driven you to commit: politicizing the worst terrorist attack in our nation's history, in your very first breath.

But if this is merely a moment to attack United States' presidents, let me ask you this: Can you imagine President Reagan hiding in a bunker in Nebraska after something like this? Is that your idea of leadership? Pataki and Gulliani were on the street leading their state and city when they needed them the most. Where was Bush? Was an anxious nation to follow his lead? Isn't it a bit funny for him to call the terrorists cowards while spending the day hiding from them?

But don't take my word for it, here's what William Bennet had to say on Tuesday, "This is not 1812, it cannot look as if the president has been run off, or it will look like we can't defend our most important institutions."
