And so today the shape of the world changes again; at least in my eyes. My knees are weak as I witness this horrific and pointless loss of life.

Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that anyone could have such a blatant disregard for innocent human beings. Nor can I imagine the numbers of lives this tragedy will affect.

My hopes and prayers are with you and your family Jeff, and with the human race as a whole.

Wolf et al,

Just wanted to add my deepest sympathies to the American people today.

I sit here trying to express in words the horror of this act -- I can not find them.

We can only hope that whatever lies in the hearts and minds of people that commit these atrocities, can be addressed in a way that brings peace to us all, so that acts like these never happen again.

thanks to you all for your sympathetic words.

got email from my brother, he and his wife in manhattan are ok. dunno about my friend's cousin yet. here's a nasty one though...one of my wife's board members is director of nursing at a nursing home in new jersey. one her nurse's sister had a meeting in the tower this morning,
on the 97th floor. she called on cell phone this morning and said there's a fire in the building but everything was ok, the meeting was continuing.

nasty stuff...cell phone calls from passengers on the hijacked planes as they were going down. locked doors in the towers preventing people from getting out.

news just said ny and nasdaq exchanges closed tomorrow and may even take weeks to reopen. mercantile exchange destroyed and oil up $6 a barrel. i filled all our gas tanks today at $1.50...one part of cincinnati gas is now $5.50...heard $4 in indiana and $3 in kentucky.

yahoo shows that dimethaid traded in the morning and went from 6.35 to 5.15 with 37k shares trading. ended with a bid of 5.35, and an ask of 6.25. on the news foreign markets down some 7% bank stocks getting wacked. gold up $20.
