We don't have to risk much. Even without ground forces we are VERY mighty.

I *think* that at this time we may gain the majority of world support, which we badly need. Not to justify any action we take, but to stand firm with us in such action.

But if we were to use nuclear weapons we would lose support all over the world. Again, this is not important only from a moral aspect, but in sustaining greater world peace in the aftermath of this event.

If we are to act idiotically as you suggest we may very well help start the next World War. It may be impossible to avoid anyway. But it will be much easier without angering and endangering so much of the rest of the worlds populace with nuclear weapons.

Retalliation is one thing. But me must not act as fools.
