<< Nablus, about 3,000 people poured into the street
shortly after the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York and
government targets in Washington.
Demonstrators distributed candy in a traditional gesture of celebration.<<

These people bring shame on themselves. We cannot sink to their level. You are in NY? My prayers for those close to you there.

I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of that report. I am, however, in the habit of questioning everything that comes from the media and taking it with a grain of salt until I can verify some other way (not usually possible -- but I'm a devout Missourian, and our motto isn't just a catchy phrase that we take lightly).

Another thought. If you're boarding a plane to the MidEast and can show American citizenship, you walk *around* the scanner; not through it.

Like I said before, I may change my tune later, as I'm largely a non-confrontational, pacifist, tree-hugging hippy, and my inclination (evident in my job duties here, even) is to forgive and move on, but I am in shock and very angry right now, and my head is full of nothing but hatred and a desire for revenge.
