Our security is actually pretty good compared to many countries. I was in Manila a few years back. As I waited to go through the metal detector a man pushed past me and walked through the metal detector. The huge handgun on his hip did not set off the detector. I pointed this out to the man staffing the detector. His reply was "Don't worry, he's a police officer".

Comforting, eh?

I keep coming across this reference: 8 planes highjacked.

What's that all about? Only 4 planes have turned up so far. Is this round 2?

FYI, here in the Caribbean, rumor is that 2x London - US flights can't be contacted.
