anyone know insurer of WorldTradeCenter ?
my only guess is Lloyds of London
this could be a $2 billion loss
just found an MSNBC website with cost of $750m to build WTC
building, equipment, housed information, nearby property could easily exceed $1 billion

Lloyds took several highprofile losses in the last decade
many terrorist acts cost them dearly
if they have WTC underwritten, Lloyds could go bankrupt

my initial surmise that military response would spark a rebirth of the economy was shortsighted

I think just like in early November 2000, this will mark the recreation and return of millions of couch potatoes
they will forego shopping and spending
they will even forego working at the office
they will suckle to their television sets, seeking fresh information
they will hope for film clips of military action
nobody is working here today, almost
I see GDP taking a 0.1% hit each week for a while
