I don't know, but I am certain that the US gov will not even want to appear to be impotent. This would not be a good time to be one of the past supporters of terrorist activities. Iran, Iraq, Libya.....

Not saying that is what we should do, but I wouldn't be feeling very sanguine if I were in those countries.

I am safe....ain't going anywhere. I am worried about some of my friends here on SI.

As much as we all would love to hope for a "quick and painless" death, the fact is that there are people still alive in that rubble, making desperate calls on their cell phones.

Let us pray for the rescuers and pray for those yet alive.

We need some small miracles to come out of this.
