Several very big W.S. firms may have lost all or most of their top executives >>>! AND a large part of their HQ staff when those WTC towers crashed down. I'm not sure which floors the various firms and executives had their offices on. But big hitters like to be high enough for a good view of "their world". So far I've just done a quick check and found that both Merrill Lynch and Lehman Bros HAD their corporate headquarters in those buildings. As far as I know, no major financial house has ever lost more than one or two executives let alone an entire management team ! We will know for sure when the casualties are tallied in the next few days. A vacuum of leadership will have devastating effects that will extend far beyond the W.S. firms directly impacted. Frank, Yes, yes it will be a war from now on. And war does not mean one retaliatory strike. It means a concerted years long effort to harry them everywhere they may be. In addition we must end the hypocrisy of dealing with countries that harbor terrorists, fund terrorists, and train terrorists, and then pretend that they can leave peaceably in the family of nations. These nations include Afghanistan, Sudan, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and to a lesser degree North Korea and the PRC. You are either against terrorism- or you are a supporter of terrorists- black/white- no in between. Now having worked for President Carter, I can honestly say that his Administration was just a horrible string of screw ups, one thing after another. Two things he did in trying to be a "good guy" have crippled our intelligence capability. First Admiral Rickover of the CIA pulled out all CIA support of human spies. We used to have an outstanding network of "on-the-ground" spies. He pulled the plug-in a disastrous mistake- on the entire network. We need to rebuild that spy network- It will take a decade- but we can start tomorrow- In the name of the blood of our martyrs. Number Two Admiral Rickover ended the power of the CIA agents to commit political assassinations. We need to restore that power- at least to our agents based in the Midldle East and SE Asia. Then obviously we should move immediately to triple or quadruple our INS staffing, as well as Customs Agents in order to monitor our land borders, ports, and airports much more closely. Finally personally- I'd add- end any more immigration from the Middle East. Why import potential creators of safe houses for terrorists when we can go to Mexico, Latin America, China or India and find all of the qualified hard working immigrants that we need to continue to build this country? The Middle East is is the birthplace of great religions- It is also for the last two hundred years simultaneously- and unfortunately- the source of, the cesspool of repeated odious and the most vile and disgusting of human behaviour. And as for the Palestinians who today in Nablus celebrated the mass deaths of many American women and children- I say to them to read the prophecies of Isiah in the Old Testament - Per God you are bringing down the curse of "3x3" upon your family and descendants- Fully you now and the next three generations of your descedants will be cursed and afflicted by God himself....
