I don't think the market will open tommorrow, other than possibly abbreviated sessions with tight limits (probably informal ) on trading activity. They might postpone until Monday.

There will be way too many postitions to unwind.

Cantor Fitzgerald, a big bond house, was alos in the WTC. I suspect a number of hedge funds were also.

Through the sadness and shock of the event we must carry on. One does not celebrate an ill gotten gain at the price of tragedy, and any who do, even thoughtlessly deserve to be dismissed. But tomorrow the governments and markets of the world will be putting forth their own response to maintain both the appearance and reality of a strong system, above the horrific actions of the sickest of the world.

It is worth considering how we will go forward from here, because forward we must go, or we are defeated.

Even the squeamish of us should donate blood for those who will need it in the coming days.
