I have been speaking with clients all morning who had flights interrupted (we are in travel biz). One reported that when about to land in Pitt they were diverted to Dayton with the explanation that the change was due to air traffic control issues. When they got off the plane in Dayton there was no systematic holding or interviewing of pax. Understand at least one 757 was directed to land at Garden City KS. Looks like all aircraft were told to get on the ground NOW. My bother-in-law is a Delta Captain and was enroute to U.S. from Europe. He was sent back to London. He does not expect to fly out right away.
