Joel,

This is war. Nothing less. Nothing more.

The United States of America was attacked today. (Our best friend & greatest alley).

We will stand behind you and your country. An attack on the USA is considered an attack on Canada. (before you start snickering... consider this... Canada entered WWII, before the USA, & ditto for WWI, Canada also had the greatest maritime fleet towards the end of WWII. We r a brave, resolute people.

We must fight back.

Regards,
Peter

This will have significant impact on the world's economy. Huge costs where steps like Bush's tax rebate seem comparably neglectable. "White collar plundering" possible - data losses...!?! How big is financial damage? Also through all these personalities lost? WTC was sort of the home base for asian finance as it seems. What have we to expect? Will/should/can Wall Street open tomorrow? How much down is simply justified to reflect that damage?

This has altered history, it's even far more than a large number of personal tragedies
