It appears I have have lost a close personal friend in this heinous bombing; a little girl in a school nearby lost her mother.
My friend was an Italian-Catholic; the mother was a Chinese American. I note this to show the random nature of terrorism.

I see the Palestians celebrating in the streets. My father was a soldier in WW II. He is now 76. He tells me, and I believe, that even in the worst days of the war nobody would exult of the deaths of German or Japanese civilians. Maybe, yes, they were happy that the war had ended, but the loss of innocent life, no. We are dealing with a different mentality folks.

I think America will now awaken to what the Israelis face

read my post again fred. i do not think we are very different, so maybe i did not express myself accurately.

i am more concerned with the news not properly delivering the whole story. they never do.

who is celebrating and what world have they known. They did not plan or pilot the planes. These are children. All that they know in this world is what they have seen and what they have been told since birth. All they know is war and hatred. I cannot condemn children for this. It is not their fault.

The acts performed today required detailed planning and immense funding. They were deliberate, and emotionless. They represent everything that i fear in this world. Given the right circumstances (some have now been established it seems), i can see many of us becoming similar to those who celebrate on the streets. I cannot imagine any of us capable of the acts took place today.
