It appears I have have lost a close personal friend in this heinous bombing; a little girl in a school nearby lost her mother.
My friend was an Italian-Catholic; the mother was a Chinese American. I note this to show the random nature of terrorism.

I see the Palestinians celebrating in the streets. My father was a soldier in WW II. He is now 76. He tells me, and I believe, that even in the worst days of the war nobody would exult in the deaths of German or Japanese civilians. Maybe, yes, they were happy that the war had ended, but at the loss of innocent life, no candy was distributed. They were decent people, as are almost all Americans. We are dealing with a different mentality folks.

I think America will now awaken to what the Israelis face.

My cousin Bruce works in the WTC. He usually arrives early but today came a little late and stopped for coffee outside the building. He saw a low-flying plane come in and - the whole thing - then soon after as he crouched under cover saw dozens diving out of high windows to their deaths. Thank God he was late today.
