I agree with your opinion since these fanatics are willing to give up their lives to achieve their objectives.

As a side note, I now believe Bush shall now be able to obtain the necessary votes to fund a limited missile defense shield over major metro and other other critical U.S. areas.

Being that no security system is 100% fail-safe. Take this event and project out 10+ years from now. Therefore, the possibility of fanatics utilizing 4 or more small nuclear bombs, instead of hijacking 4 commercial airlines, to achieve their objectives would be very real possibility at that time.

Unfortunately, applying "protective remedies" to provide greater security to the citizens of this country may involve negative "tradeoffs", such as the reduction of some of our individual liberties, rights and protections that the law now provides us as citizens of the United States.

The destruction of the Wall Trade Center buildings and the soon-to-known high count of dead and injured is an unfortunate event that, in my opinion, shall result in changes in how our government deals with potential threats to our security from any fanatical groups or rogue third-world governments.
