Well there are certainly no more attacks to expect now. That was monumental organization anyway. The air is safe now, at least in the US. As the responsibility seems to be not actually proven right now, there will also be no chain of escalation, which is good. The consequences are hard to tell but I think everything will be very complicated. America will probably try and know to avoid self-damage. Even though it may be morally appropriate to shut down businesses for the rest of the week or so such measures' costs are normally counted in 1/365 of GDP. America's best retaliation is to be as soon in its boots and clearly-minded again to seek consequences in a sharp and cool way. This is the way how peace, freedom and humanity can be defended best. As there could the whole world be mobilized to press Taliban to hand over Bin Laden, etc. The US exchanges should be open ASAP to make sure there evolve no disadvantages to the country. A crisis is risk AND chance and the chances can only be obtained by a sober and professional reaction.
