Not knowing is horrible. My friend and his wife were making concerted efforts to notify their family and friends that he was all right. I was so thankful that he called me... especially because he did so himself. What an unbelievable day. The fallout is going to be incredible. After the human toll of death and injury, there will be at least temporary unemployment for many whose businesses were destroyed. Not everyone plans for such an eventuality. In short, the pain, horror and hardship will be on many levels, affecting all of us in one way or another. When you toss a stone into the brook, the ripples can be widespread.
