RE:"But what should the government do? Bombing an already bombed out Afghanistan fixes nothing. Killing the people who did this fixes nothing. When you have another eager group of martyrs ready to die a bunch of US bombs don't (to me) seem to be very effective. Keep in mind we had a daring raid over Libya during the Reagan years, various raids after that, but the problem continues. I don't think it gets fixed until the situation in the middle east gets fixed."

Yeah John, just "let it ride" right?

John, Re: "But what should the government do?"

I believe the U.S. would be willing to go to war over this. I wouldn't normally want to make such predictions, but I think a declaration of war (against Palestine, if they are found to be responsible) would quickly produce a resolution for the opposing factions in Israel, and hopefully weed out any desire for terrorist resistance in the Middle East. Up until now, the U.S. had every reason to want to accomplish things peacefully. Now they have every reason to accomplish things quickly and harshly, no matter what stands in the way. I would have rather it not come to this, but do you know of another way? I don't want to sound extreme, but I don't think this is far away from being realistic at this point.
