well done!
You should be proud.
I've posted it elsewhere to pass it on.

Let me just say that today was perhaps my proudest day to call myself an American. I left work about 12:30 to give blood since all I was doing all day was listening to the tragedy unfolding at work. When I got to the center, the reception area was packed with approximately 75 people. People waited hours to give. After I had finished giving my blood and was passing out the hall again at about 3:00, the number was 2-3 times the number I had seen earlier; the earlier number BTW, was the largest number they had seen.

This was a tragedy committed by a few deeply troubled individuals; we should never forget that and extrapolate that somehow this is human nature. People are basically good at heart as was proven in the streets of NYC today, and in my local blood bank. You had four acts of violence against a backdrop of thousands of acts of bravery and selflessness. Unfortunately, too often the former overshadows the latter.
