From a friend: Dear Friends, I'm sure you're all following the terrifying events taking place south of the border today. Even though we may seem far away from where this is all happening, all of our lives will likely be affected by this in some way or another. Personally, there was panic and worry in my office today as a friend and colleague has been working in NY at the World Trade Center for the past year. After contacting her husband to learn that he hadn't heard from her yet, we finally got word that she was OK. Incredulously, she wrote the following brief note and e-mailed it to us: _____________________________________ > Subject: This is Christine--I'm ok > > I just wanted to let everyone know that I am alive. I was on the 87th > floor when the plane crashed into the building. I crawled out of rubble to > safety after the building collapsed. > > Thank god I am home safe with Craig now. I am very lucky. > > I will share more details later. > > With much love, > Christine ______________________________________ I can't even begin to imagine what this experience was like for Christine and what horrifying memories will follow her for the rest of her life.
