bob, Islam as practiced by fundamentalists stresses belief over all else and that when you die you go to paradise. We know this is a crock as no muslims have ever appeared in paradise, I checked.
As a result thay have suckers who want free tickets to paradise. I say the USA should giev them as many as they want as they will never collect.

Bill

Bob, again you continue to lump everyone who's religious into the same group.

The Truth and obeying Laws that tell you to Love your Brother as Yourself do not lead people to ignore the value of others.

I hope you can see that important difference. America was founded on Religion and "IN GOD WE TRUST" has been the motto for centuries and that Motto is continuing to fade away and you can see how America has been decaying morally.

God gave us FREE will, which means he doesn't intervene all the time to prevent tragedy, but it's the everlasting gift that really counts in the end.

Evil exists and it can be in the form of Religions and will continue to exist for some finite time.

M.

Do you really believe the dozen compounds and water that is the building blocks of us randomly occured?

What intellegence is it to direct 2 cells to divide and divide and decide to form a hand, a eye?

Just random luck? I don't think so.

Robert:

"I don't begrudge anyone their belief, until it leads to a massacre or disaster like today. I have never felt worse than I do today and I think the ultimate cause of today's tragedy is religion."

Bob, methinks you should not be so quick in casting blame on religion...Today's abominable acts are those of psychotic individuals banded together in a cowardly act resulting in the death of many innocent victims...I suspect that were it not for the overwhelmingly positive contribution of the major religious bodies in the world throughout the years, abominable acts such as those witnessed today would be the norm as opposed to the exception.

I know of no religious leader that exhalts today's tragic actions as those inspired by their god.

The overriding common characteristic shared by the perpetrators of yesterday's abomination is psychosis...no matter what their stated, but MISGUIDED, motivation.... What race, religion, culture, gender or for that matter sexual orientation the perpetrators share is of much lesser importance, imo...
