We would be back to Vietnam days with the news each night broadcasting a list of American soldiers killed that day by snipers..." The U.S. had to deal with snipers in the Gulf War. John, American troops stationed in Palestine IMHO would make Northern Ireland look like a kiddie game. This is what was said about invasion of Iraq. I guess if you theory of self doubt and paralysis prevailed, we would by now have Saddam a leader of "unified" Muslim / Arab world shooting a missile a day in our direction. Fortunately, there we had leaders with courage back then, and hopefully we still do. Joe
