I think you can throw out the smug and cocky and attribute that to all nations who particular inhabitants feel the power of the green back is power.

Many will ask why the #1 nation (and policeman) of the world failed to foresee and avert such a mind-boggling catastrophe.

Maybe you can say we trusted too much, we forgot that there are other nations out there where people slaughter each other. Maybe we started to think the rest of the world thinks as we do life is sacred.

If this group did they would of done this in the middle of the night minimize loss they maximized it life to them means nothing.

Our lives are transport oriented.

<<Have you ever heard of the term "UGLY AMERICAN" being applied to almost any American citizen? especially in the 60s and 70s? In fact a book entitled "The Ugly American" was written by an American observer and it explains that epithet.>>

With all respect, Aren't the terrorist acts of today mostly about religion, about the way we of US meet and treat the Moslem world of the middle east? Is it not about how we demand change toward our view of "correct"? We of the middle "Christian" have grown to (at least) accept the bulk of the Jewish religion & way of life of even the Orthodox.

Right or wrong, so far, understanding or living with the way of life of the more extreme & orthodox of the middle eastern Moslem world is lost to the bulk US citizens. For good or bad, we fail to understand or tolerate much of the way women are treated with-in the bulk of the middle eastern Moslem world. The bulk of the US simply doesn't, and or won't, understand.

Here in the US we corrupt toward the center, or in the world of religious terms "reformed". Can the middle eastern Moslem world learn to become (or at least tolerate) anything less than extreme orthodox rules?

You are nothing more than another anonymous foreigner who wants to live close, and suck off the American business tit, prosperity and industry of this great land. Take your cowardly postings today and go walk into an buzzsaw. You're some piece of Canadian work, and you have earned our collective contempt. And if I ever meet you face to face, it will be the last time you lip off to an American, especially on this day of horrendous grief and mourning you cocky piece of humanity. And to think that you look like an American and parade around the world benefitting from our esteemed place in the global community. When "they" come to get you up there in your
smug Canadian adopted homeland, none of us on GPM will come to lift a finger.

Get a soul transplant!
