I really wasn't going to get into this until I saw "Smith's" hateful bantering and X's ignorant anti-US posts.

Hey, but what the hell, free speech here. (They couldn't get away with that in the countries they seek to defend.)

But of course I'd rather we focus on our mutual shock and despair on this sad day.

Imagine. Even a common enemy and a horrendous attack like this can't bring us together. Even for a day.

I responded to what I picked up as intimations yet again that... it's the Jews' fault, or partly the Jews' fault. At the time I posted, a Palestinian connection to the attacks was proposed. Since then, we see that while the Palestinians are delighted, they are not involved in these suicide bombings.

I considered the subtle introduction, by implication, of the Jews into the discussion of what happened today to have been ill-timed and inappropriate to the occasion, which was about Islamic-extremist terrorists killing thousands of Americans, and that my comments were an appropriate sequel to that introduction.

The situation has been clarified by discussion between X and me, for which I am glad.
