So far, we know Sandy, Lourdes' husband may be okay. He got out, however, but we don't know if he was near the building before it collapsed. We're all devastated, overwhelmed and mourning the loss of so many lives. We picked up our children from school when the airplane crashed in western PA. WE ARE OKAY. DEVASTATION IS BEYOND US NOW. I HAD TO WALK FROM WORK (WHERE I COULD SEE THE SMOKE FROM MY OFFICE) SEVERAL MILES FROM MANHATTAN TO QUEENS. NO COMMUNICATION LINES AND NO TRANSPORTATION. IT WAS TOTAL CHAOS. THERE WERE LINES AND LINES OF PEOPLE TO GET CHILDREN OUT OF SCHOOL AND THE GIRLS AND GABE ARE IN TWO DIFFERENT SCHOOLS....IT GOES ON AND ON....I'M JUST GLAD AND GREATFUL TO BE HOME. ). Sandy, Lourdes' husband made it out okay from the WTC. He decided to go get a breath of air. However, as he walked out the building the plain flew right in. Thank God for him his guardian angel guided him out safely. Unfortunately, he is really shaken by the event, as is everyone around the world. He said he saw a body fly out of the building. Lourdes has her hand full. He's upset, obviously, because he's not sure if any of his coworkers made it out. We stopped by church today to pray for peace and for forgiveness. When the plane crashed in PA, Ray and I went to get Nick from school. He has been asking questions about it and worried. We've attempted to calm his worries. How are your children reacting? Life as we know it has definitely changed. Never did I imagine that we would see such loss of life. It has devastated me. Emotionally, I'm a basket case. What kind of life, if any, does our children have to look forward too? My answer, keep faith in God, and continue moving forward. With faith we can continue to march on. Elizabeth's husband and son along with Felito, Felix's son I'm sure were called for duty. Just more for everyone else to worry about.
