40,000 flights cancelled today. They might be able to do it one more day but the damage to the economy would be massive if it goes any longer.

They will probably go back to using armed plainclothes security personnel posing as passengers.

Friend of mine in California wrote the following:

"After reports of severe declines in the world stock markets had sufficiently fed the emotions, I inventoried my ammo cabinet, hit up the atm, bought a couple of cases of water, beer, and baby yogurt milk. Traded out two 5ga propane tanks. Filled up the gastanks of the jeep and minivan. I'm not a survivalist, but you never know."

It took my wife 45 minutes to drive the normal 10 minute route home tonight from work because of the long lines at the local gas stations between work and home.
