<<"he would not have run to Nebraska
like a weenie.">> There was NO running. That policy has been in effect from the 60s or earlier. There are "safe areas" all over DC and the rest of the country. Most of these were built during the cold war ('50s) with the nuke threat. Many buildings are connected by tunnels. A large underground facility was constructed in W VA had kept secrete for years. Once the location etc was known it was completely abandoned. Policy has stated for years at the 1st sign of attack the Pres and selected others are to be in the air--- A little research or talking to former military that served at the Pentagone, secrete service, or many others would prevent foolish statements.

Now that is a stupid post.

Even Clinton endorsed Bush's actions today. I'm certain he's in a better position to judge than you are.

He unwillingly acquiesced to the demands of the people charged with his safety. After a time he overrode those concerns and insisted on returning to the Capitol. I doubt anything he would have done would be satisfactory to you. Instead you pretend to know what Clinton, a certifiable draft dodger, would have done. Give me a break!
