Elmer, thread,

At such moment, we should be worried about minimizing the damage and do our best to not allow our life to come to a halt (which is exactly what the terrorist wanted). Our outrage and anger is expected but it is important they are not pointed at the wrong direction. We will have lots of time to point our anger.

I certainly hope the retaliation will be swift, strong, well thought out and pointed.

My hearts goes out to those effected. It is excruciatingly painful to lose a love to such random act of evil. Only those who have experience it really understand what I mean. Today has been oh so difficult and it keeps getting worse.

Elmer,

I think the time for tolerance is over. It is time to defend ourselves. If we wring our hands being "tolarent" the next time it will be a nuclear weapon that goes off. We got off very very easy this time. We can't afford a "next time" by being tolerant.

I couldn't agree more. The terrorists involving in today's attacks have their $hit together, they are using their heads. It wouldn't surprise me if they charged their tickets, their primitive weapons on US credit cards (never to be repaid), they used US planes as weapons to kill Americans.

If they do end up using nuclear weapons next, it would not shock me if the weapon turned out to be a US made weapon that they somehow "acquire".

BTW, I have to say that from the talking heads on the air, I didn't see any leadership in forming a consensus from the President or the Congress. The only person who made any kind of sense was Newt Gingrich, who said that the US Congress should officially declare war on the responsible parties, which would give the administration authority which the administration doesn't have under the thousands of laws designed to paralyze ourselves into inaction.

Joe

Remarkably, you completely managed to misinterpret my comment. I most certainly did not mean "tolerance of terrorist, their organizations or those who hide / assist them".
