World economy threatened by attack

Just wondering here .... why?

The personal tragedy is certainly horrific, a few companies might have lost an important executive, and a few companies might be impacted by loss of records and personnel, but why is this a major impact on the world economy?

If there is any impact on world economy out of this it is entirely a matter of attitude. And, guess what, if we let that impact of attitude happen, then we have let the terrorists win twice. If we recognize that the real impact on the world economy is only what we let it be, if we stand up and show them that we refuse to be impressed by their insane actions, then there is no reason for the tragedy that has happened to compound itself into something more.
