Mike M-- My guess is those suggesting restraint and playing by their own rules of war;
do not comprehend what they have seen on TV as they have watched too many movies
can not understand the feeling of losing a friend in war
Have never seen a buddy blown apart
cannot fathom sending a child or spouse off to work only to learn of their murder
still think of the situation as an accident instead of premeditated murder
have never been shot at
have never had to defend their lives
believe the loss of 300+ safety and rescue personnal is part of their job
believe the perpetrators had a sad childhood-- maybe from a broken home
escaped from their institution
plus many other possibilities.
It is very possible once the shock wears off some may change their point of view. Sitting in an easy chair watching the tube is too much like an evening watching HBO. Nothing has happened like this on this soil since the civil war. Unless it is decidely ended only more can be expected. In no way do I wish to make light of the situation but there is only one way to end a fight and that is to have a winner-- us or them will win. US is a whole lot better!
