I repeat....a relatively amateurish security idea for cockpits is the main culprit here....what would have happened today if pilots were behind a more secure structure (door) today? Possibly no other damage/death/destruction then the crashed planes (which would have been horrible in and of itself, but still).

Sadly, we'll never know..

Good thinking MSI, let's fire everybody. Duh. Maybe we should pay them less to teach them a lesson too. That would motivate them to perform, huh? What I hear the most about is how micro-managed and restricted are the intelligence operations. Congress legislates and manages to standards that terrorists are not hampered with. Not that we are angels, but there are differences. It is a mistake to think ignorance and incompetence are the problems here, I am willing to bet.
