LTK, your point is well taken and worthy of consideration. However, something forceful and effective will need to be done much sooner than what you are suggesting could be engineered. Our country will demand it.

I agree. Our response should be against those responsible, not those who happen to live in the same country.

Unfortunately, recent history shows we don't work that way. (Iraq) If it is determined binLaden was behind this, and the fanatics of the Taliban won't give him up, I fear we're going to do to Afghanistan what we did to Iraq, and many more innocents will die.

... Mezz - IMO, the "intelligence" community dropped the ball again. This should never have been allowed to happen.
