Uh, surely people turn on the news in between the sensational events and have some knowledge of the past hundred years of middle east history? The again, perhaps people who spend the day running around to various SI threads telling people to F off repeatedly don't...

Svenlar, you are living in the 20th century not the 12th century. The obcenities that you have been using here are probably similar to the ones the hijackers normally use. It is improper for a proud American like yourself to be so obcene. Why do you want to take advantage of the nation's sorrow as well as the nation's rage at the terrorists. We Americans are very resilient in sorrow and very dignified in our rage. The world would be a better place if you could join us in that.

And Teresa, the same to you. This is not the time to send forth a message of "Christianity vs. Muslims". Our enemies are not Muslims. It is probably Osama and Afghanistan. Christianity is not about "holy war". It is beyond that.
