Boeing Flight Test group does a lot of real-time monitoring and telemetering back to ground stations and ultimately to Seattle of numerous external flight surfaces, surface wind indicators and position, temperature and pressure transducers. This group develops many systems and has many more developed for them by suppliers that could be used on the aircraft after undergoing flight qualifications design and testing. I will talk to them during the next few days to see what is being talked about as possibilities for expedited future deployment. Unfortunately, nothing that goes on an airplane for avionics is quickly accepted. In times of crisis what normally takes two years may take just a few months of expedited design and qualification - unusual but it has happened.
