Thomas, I don't agree with you... That's pretty obvious.

The bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima were committed against a Japanese population, engaged in a wholesale effort of manufacturing arms for the Japanese war machine. They WERE VALID military targets under such conditions of DECLARED war. Every Japanese home was part of the decentralized "cottage" arms industry.

FURTHERMORE, those bombings actually SAVED LIVES, both American and Japanese, because they negated the requirement for the US to engage in its planned invasion of the Japanese home islands, where US casualities alone, were estimated to be at least 500,000 personnel. Japanese casualties from such an invasion were conservatively estimated to be in the millions.

So the sacrifice of 150,000 was a small price to pay to avoid such a bloodbath.

And for you to make such a comparison is just ludicrous.

Finally, the attacks that were committed against the US yesterday were against non-military targets (except the Pentagon). They were committed against people who had NOTHING to do with the Palestinian issue, or anything else these terrorists believed justified conducting such a heinous attack.

It's just SICK that the manner in which you chose to reflect upon this tragedy, was in watching some movie about "manufacturing consent"...

But that's your right, and your business...

So pray tell, what tidbits of enlightenment did you glean from that Chomsky documentary, and how do you believe we should react to this unprovoked assault on innocent individuals where no war has been declared?

URGENT MESSAGE - URGENT MESSAGE - URGENT MESSAGE - URGENT MESSAGE - URGENT MESSAGE

TO: FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION

Tadjik leader Ahmad Shah MASOOD was likely involved in the terrorist attacks aginst the Pentagon and the WTC:

news.bbc.co.uk

Excerpt:

Opposition hero

The hijackers are reported to have demanded the release of Ismail Khan, a hero of the opposition, who was captured by the Taleban in 1997.

Indeed, one feature missing from the chaos of the Afghan wars had, until today, been airline hijacking.

But the opposition, called the northern alliance, has disassociated itself from the hijacking, calling it an act of terrorism against innocent people.

The alliance supports former president Burhanuddin Rabbani who was driven from the capital Kabul by the Taleban in September 1996 and now controls only about 10% of Afghanistan.

_____________

Indeed, the February 2000 hijacking was just a WARM-UP!!

You and your family were citizens of the Republic while these "brutal acts of terror" were perpetrated by your own government. Hate and blame yourselves the most if you believe that garbage because you reap the benefits of those actions every day.

Much like the cult you are - you and your family take a tragedy like this and turn it into an opportunity to re-indoctrinate yourselves with US hating propaganda.

YOU are using this tragedy to promote a political agenda - basically that the US brought this upon itself.

Why dont you just start every post with that sentence from now on.

Clearly you, your family, and friends are cowards.
